The Peru Crew Visa corresponds to the “Tripulante” migratory quality under Decreto Legislativo N° 1350 (Ley de Migraciones). It applies to foreign nationals who enter Peru as crew members of an international means of transport — air, maritime, land, river, or lake — in connection with their duties aboard that vessel or aircraft. Unlike most other Peru visa categories, the Tripulante quality is granted directly by the Superintendencia Nacional de Migraciones (MIGRACIONES) at the migratory and border control points, rather than through a standard consular visa application submitted in advance. It allows a single entry and a permanence of up to 30 days in Peru, and this period is not extendable. Crew travelling by road as part of an authorised international transport operation may instead be issued a Libreta de Tripulante Terrestre (Land Crew Booklet) by MIGRACIONES. As with all Peru migratory qualities, the decision to grant Crew status rests solely with MIGRACIONES.

- Entering Peru specifically in connection with duties aboard that vessel, aircraft, or vehicle
- Holds a valid passport or travel document, or applicable crew identification recognised under international agreements
- Able to provide documentation confirming crew status (crew list, seaman’s book, or equivalent)
- Not intending to remain in Peru beyond the 30-day, non-extendable permanence period
- For land transport crew, meets the requirements for the Libreta de Tripulante Terrestre where applicable
