Peru Business Visa
The Peru Business Visa (Visa de Negocios) is issued to foreign nationals travelling to Peru for business-related activities that do not involve remuneration from a Peruvian source, such as meetings with business representatives, participating in company or professional conferences, negotiating agreements, or attending trade fairs and seminars. It is a temporary migratory quality under Decreto Legislativo N° 1350 (Ley de Migraciones) and permits multiple entries, with a stay of up to 183 days accumulable within a 365-day period. Applications are submitted at the Peruvian Consular Office in the applicant’s country of residence — for Indian nationals, this is the Embassy of Peru in New Delhi. As with all Peru visa categories, a visa is not a right, and the decision to grant or refuse a Business Visa rests solely with the competent Consular Office.

Processing Time
According to the Embassy of Peru’s published guidance for Indian applicants, standard processing for a Business Visa takes approximately 7 to 10 working days from submission. This period can extend during peak periods or when additional verification of the business invitation and supporting documents is required. Applications are only accepted in person at the Embassy of Peru, and processing begins from the day the application is received. Applicants are advised to apply well ahead of their intended business travel dates, particularly if attending a scheduled conference or meeting.
