The New Zealand Visitor Visa allows travellers to enter New Zealand for tourism, holidays, or to visit family and friends. Eligibility
- Have genuine plans to leave New Zealand at the end of the authorised stay
- Show enough money to support themselves during their visit, or have an acceptable sponsor
- Hold at least NZD $1,000 per month in funds, or NZD $400 per month if accommodation is already paid for
- Meet standard health and character requirements
- Hold a passport valid for the intended length of stay
- Provide evidence of a return or onward ticket, where required
- Sponsors, if used, must complete a Sponsorship Form for Temporary Entry and may need to provide supporting financial documents. Applicants travelling with a partner or dependent children aged 19 or younger can typically include them in the same application, or those family members may apply separately.
