Qatar eVisa (Hayya Platform):
The Qatar eVisa is issued through “Hayya,” the official e-platform operated by Qatar’s Ministry of Interior that streamlines the entry permit application process for visitors from around the world. The Hayya platform offers four types of entry permits: the A1 Tourist Visa for all nationalities, the A2 GCC Resident Visa for expatriates living in GCC countries (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman), the A3 Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for eligible nationalities or those holding a valid visa from the US, UK, Canada, Australia, or a Schengen country, and additional categories for business and transit purposes. This Qatar Visa system allows applicants to apply entirely online or through the “Hayya to Qatar” mobile app, without needing to visit an embassy in person for most categories. Approval is decided solely by Qatar’s Ministry of Interior.

Processing Time
Processing time for Qatar eVisa applications through the Hayya platform typically takes 2 to 5 working days for a complete application, regardless of the specific entry permit category selected. Applicants should apply well in advance of their travel date and monitor their email or the Hayya app for updates on their application status. Because Hayya centralises multiple visa categories on one platform, applicants should carefully select the correct entry permit type matching their purpose of travel to avoid delays or rejection.
